The expertise, competence and competence of candidates in the above three subjects will be tested by objective form Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) under the OMR scheme. However, applicants will continue to be tested by descriptive review in the remaining four subjects of the Executive Curriculum, viz. (i) Corporate Law, (ii) Economic and Commercial Rules, (iii) Company Accounts and Auditing Procedures and (iv) Capital Markets and Securities Laws.
Each paper will be three hours duration in the OMR-based review with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of one mark each. Issues will be of an ordinary, above average and complicated standard covering the whole of the syllabus. If any paper is divided into different sections, i.e. Part-A, Part-B, etc. The appropriate number of questions from each part corresponding to the weighting of marks prescribed in the syllabus will be asked. Each question will contain four options for answering, and the candidate will be required to choose one choice as his/her correct answer and mark it in the OMR response sheet by darkening it.
Negative marking for incorrect responses attempted by the candidates would be applied, w.e.f. December 2015 examination session in the ratio of 1: 4, i.e. deduction of one (1) mark for every four (4) incorrect responses and total marks obtained by the candidates in such papers will be rounded up to the next complete number. The negative marks would also be limited to the extent of the marks obtained for the correct responses so that no applicant would receive a mark lower than zero in the subjects mentioned above. The questionnaire for Cost and Management Accounting (Module-I) and (ii) Tax Laws and Procedure (Module-I) is available only in English. A question paper booklet of the Commercial, Labour and General Laws (Module-II) paper in English and its Hindi version will be given to candidates who want to write an exam in the Hindi medium. The OMR Response sheets will however, be given in English only for all three subjects.
